First-Time Login

For your first time logging in to ResearchCloud, you must set up multifactor authentication (MFA).

Notes

The directions ask you to install Google Authenticator (from Google Play or the App Store) on your phone OR see below for directions on installing a web-based extension.

  1. Open the email invitation and click the link at the bottom of the email to log in to your account.
  2. Sign In with your email and temporary password.

  3. Next, set up multifactor authentication.

  1. Your initial login is complete! Your ResearchCloud screen will display functions related to your role.
*All subsequent logins require MFA so have your device nearby whenever you log in to PMT.

Web-Based Authenticator

Steps to install a web-based authenticator rather than as an app on your phone.

  1. Locate Authenticator in the Chrome Store and click Add to Chrome.

  1. When prompted, click Add extension. The icon for Authenticator will appear to the right of the search bar in Chrome.

  1. When prompted for a code, click Scan QR code from the Authenticator dropdown on your browser.

  1. Frame the QR code in the login screen to obtain the authentication code.

Notes

  • You will need an authenticator code for subsequent logins.
  • If at a later point, your administrator adds you to another program in your organization, the new email invitation:

    • Uses the subject line Research Cloud Access.
    • Informs you of the name of the program to which you've been added.
    • Reminds you that you can use your existing credentials to log in. (For details, see How Multi-Program Access Works.)
